Kilcock resident Paul Ward has been selected to contest the May 2014 Local Elections in the Maynooth Local Electoral Area. The Maynooth Comhairle Ceantair is pleased to announce that Kilcock resident Paul Ward has been selected to run in the 2014 Local Elections.
Paul is married to Thersa Tighe a local secondary school teacher in Scoil Dara Kilcock and has two young children both being educated in Kilcock. He is a barrister by profession having previously worked for nine years as an investigation barrister for the Ryan Report.
Speaking on the announcement of his selection Paul said “I am delighted to have been selected to run for Fianna Fail in this year’s local elections. I have been an active member of the Party for over 20 years and I was honoured to be selected by the Kilcock Fianna Fail Cumann and Cllr Liam Doyle to contest these elections. I would like to pay particular thanks to Cllr Liam Doyle who has served Kilcock and Kildare with distinction in public office since 1985”
Cllr Liam Doyle said “I will be supporting and working hard with Paul over the coming months to ensure Kilcock keeps its council seat and continues to have a strong and local voice representing us all on Kildare County Council.”
